Davido Reflects on a Milestone Year as He Turns 33

Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido marked his 33rd birthday with heartfelt reflections on his personal
and professional journey, calling this past year one of his best ever.

In a video shared during his birthday celebration, Davido reminisced about how far he’s come, noting
that he released his first song when he was just 17, and now, at 33, he feels he’s entering a new chapter
of his life. “I dropped my first song when I was 17 … now I’m 33,” he said, adding that the year has been
filled with love, family milestones, and gratitude.
He expressed immense appreciation for his wife, Chioma, calling her “the most beautiful woman,” and
spoke tenderly of their children, emphasizing how fatherhood has deepened his sense of purpose.
Professionally, Davido’s 33rd year has coincided with major artistic strides. In April 2025, he released his
fifth studio album, “5ive”, a project that he describes as representing a “new chapter of personal growth
and global connection.”

He also recently announced that he is working on his sixth studio album, much to the delight of fans.
Davido’s reflections were not just about success, he also acknowledged past struggles. In his message,
he remarked on the challenges he’s faced, admitting that “life has not been all rosy,” but that he
remains grounded by faith, resilience, and the support of his fans.

His journey so far has seen him grow beyond music. Early in his career, he dropped chart-topping hits;
more recently, he’s built a legacy that blends global influence, philanthropy, and family.
As he embraces his 33rd year, Davido appears more focused than ever, on building his discography,
