Ribadu Among Dignitaries At El-Rufai’s Mother’s Funeral
National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, set aside his political differences with Malam Nasir El-Rufai, to attend his mother’s funeral prayer on Sunday.
Hajiya Ummah El-Rufai passed away on Thursday night after a prolonged illness, drawing an outpouring of condolences from political leaders, associates, and well-wishers across the country.
Among those who attended the Janazah were Ribadu, who stood beside former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar.
Ribadu and El-Rufai were strong allies before the situation which led to the exclusion of El-Rufai from the cabinet of President Bola Tinubu.
The funeral, held in accordance with Islamic rites, was attended by top government functionaries, family members, and sympathisers who gathered to pay their last respects to the deceased and stand in solidarity with the El-Rufai family during this period of mourning.
