Amad Hatrick Seals Manchester United Win Against Southampton
Amad scored a dramatic 12-minute hat-trick to help Manchester United come from behind and seal an unlikely 3-1 win over Southampton at Old Trafford on Thursday night.
United were trailing 1-0 via Manuel Ugarte’s first-half own-goal with as little as nine minutes of normal time left, but Amad dragged them level, giving them belief they could then go on and flip the game on its head.
He completed the turnaround eight minutes later, striking with 90 minutes on the clock, when he connected with Christian Eriksen’s outstanding pass to fire a volley past Saints goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
He then completed the scoring in stoppage time, capitalising on a defensive blunder to tap home his and United’s third goal. The win has lifted United up to 12th in the standings.
