Sean “Diddy” Combs Sentenced to Just Over Four Years In Prison

Sean “Diddy” Combs was sentenced today to 50 months (4 years and 2 months) in federal prison
following his conviction on two counts of transportation for prostitution. The ruling came from
U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian in Manhattan.

Combs had been held in custody since his arrest in September 2024 and will receive credit for
the 13 months already served, shortening the remainder of his sentence. He was also fined
$500,000 and will serve five years of supervised release after his prison term.
He was convicted in July 2025 on two counts related to arranging for male escorts to travel
across state lines to engage in drug-fueled sexual acts, often referred to in court as “freak-offs.”

Meanwhile, he was acquitted of more serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering.
During his sentencing, Combs expressed remorse, apologizing for his actions and acknowledging
his past behavior as “shameful.” Several of his children also made emotional appeals, pleading
for his mercy and speaking about his influence on their lives.

The sentence represents a middle ground: prosecutors had been pushing for more than 11 years,
while Combs’ defense had sought a much lighter term — no more than 14 months including time
served.
Judge Subramanian, in handing down the sentence, acknowledged Combs’ contributions and
influence over the years but underscored that accountability must accompany power.
