APM Challenges Tinubu to Visit Local Communities, Markets
The Allied People’s Movement (APM) has challenged President Bola Tinubu to visit local communities
and markets across the country to witness firsthand the impact of his administration’s economic policies
on ordinary Nigerians.
The party made the call on Monday, July 28, 2026, amid growing public frustration over rising costs and
hardship.
APM National Publicity Secretary Abubakar Yusuf stated that the President’s poor performance has
fuelled public rejection, describing the administration as one of the worst in Nigeria’s history.
He argued that a roll call of Tinubu’s supporters reveals many ethically challenged figures who have lost
credibility with Nigerians.
The party highlighted worsening economic conditions, including high cost of living, collapsed public
facilities, and infrastructure deficits, despite claims of progress.
Yusuf said the APM’s demand stems from the need for the President to see the reality on the ground
rather than relying on official reports.
“Any person calling for the re-election of President Tinubu is, by implication, supporting the retention of
what has become a hopeless and rudderless administration,” he added.
It accused the government of imposing harsh policies that have crippled businesses, led to job losses,
and increased hunger and poverty.
