Trevor Noah Criticised For South Africa Tourism Campaign

South African host and comedian, Trevor Noah is facing backlash after advertising a new tourism campaign. He encourages visitors to explore South Africa’s diverse cultures, stunning landscapes, wildlife and local cuisine.

However, many social media users have criticised the campaign, arguing that it does not address concerns about xenophobic attacks and anti-foreigner sentiment that have affected parts of the country in recent years.

Some users said a tourism campaign should also acknowledge the experiences of foreign nationals living and working in South Africa, while others defended the campaign, saying its purpose is to promote tourism rather than address political or social issues.
