Nuprc Records 97% Domestic Crude Supply Obligation
The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission has released the Q2 2026 statistics on the enforcement of the Domestic Crude Supply Obligation in accordance with the provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act.
NUPRC says a total of 53.7 million barrels of crude oil and condensate were supplied to local refiners between April and June, showing an overall performance of over 97%.The statistics show that the Domestic Crude Supply Obligation is being enforced by the NUPRC.
The Commission observed that the improvement in Domestic crude supply coincided with an increase in local oil production. The statistics show that Dangote Refinery required 63 million barrels in Q2, but the producers offered higher volumes of 68.1 million barrels, representing 98% of all offered volumes.
The regulator said 52.6 million barrels were eventually accepted by the Dangote Refinery, representing 78% of what it was offered.
