Tinubu Returns To Nigeria, Says He’s ‘Ready To Work’
President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after extending his working vacation in Europe and missing an earlier deadline for his return.
He arrived in Lagos yesterday evening, almost a month after leaving Abuja on August 30, and was welcomed by senior government officials, including Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Deputy Senate President and the Speaker of the House.
When asked about his health, Tinubu said he was ‘ready to kick’ and ‘ready to work’, dismissing the reports as political rumours. The presidency says Tinubu will remain in Lagos for several days, holding meetings with political leaders ahead of the 2027 elections, and will attend the Independence Day premiere of a film about MKO Abiola before returning to Abuja
