Jay-Z And Diddy Sexual Assault Lawsuit Dismissed

Roc Nation boss and music mogul, Jay-Z, can breathe a sigh of relief. As on Friday, attorney Tony Buzbee dropped the sexual assault lawsuit against Jay-Z and Diddy.
According to reports, the lawsuit alleging that Jay and Diddy raped a 13-year-old girl in 2000 has reportedly been dismissed in a New York court by Tony Buzbee, the lawyer representing Jane Doe.
In court documents, the voluntary dismissal was filed by Buzbee and Antigone Curis, stating that the Jane Doe who accused the musicians of sexual assault “hereby gives notice that the above-captioned action is voluntarily dismissed, with prejudice.”

Following the dismissal of the lawsuit, Roc Nation and Jay-Z issued a statement on the matter. “Today is a victory. The frivolous, fictitious and appalling allegations have been dismissed,” Jay said. “This civil suit was without merit and never going anywhere. The fictional tale they created was laughable, if not for the seriousness of the claims. I would not wish this experience on anyone. The trauma that my wife, my children, my loved ones and I have endured can never be dismissed.”
He added, “This 1-800 lawyer gets to file a suit hiding behind Jane Doe, and when they quickly realize that the money grab is going to fail, they get to walk away with no repercussions. The system has failed.
The court must protect victims, OF COURSE, while with the same ethical responsibility, the courts must protect the innocent from being accused without a shred of evidence. May the truth prevail for all victims and those falsely accused equally.”

Alex Spiro, Jay-Z’s attorney, also issued a statement, calling the allegations against his client “heinous and false.” “The false case against JAY-Z, that never should have been brought, has been dismissed with prejudice,” he said. “By standing up in the face of heinous and false allegations, Jay has done what few can – he pushed back, he never settled, he never paid 1 red penny, he triumphed and cleared his name.”
After securing permission from United States District Judge Analisa Torres, Jay-Z filed a motion to dismiss the ongoing lawsuit. Jay and his team’s request claimed there were numerous inconsistencies in the woman’s account.
Diddy was initially named in a lawsuit filed by Jane Doe in October, and Jay’s name was added several months later. The accuser claimed that the two raped her after taking her to an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty.
