NYSC Appoints Regina-Nnenna Eke as New Gombe State Coordinator
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has appointed Regina-Nnenna Eke as its new State Coordinator in Gombe State, following the retirement of her predecessor, Chinwe Nwachuku.
Eke assumed duty on Friday, October 30, 2026, after her posting by the management of the scheme.
Before her appointment, she served as Deputy Director at the NYSC South-South Area Office I in Asaba, Delta State.
The leadership change was announced in a statement issued on Monday by the NYSC Gombe State Secretariat’s Public Relations Officer, Mrs Owonibi-Peace Ibiduo.
The statement said Nwachuku retired after what it described as meritorious service to the scheme.
It added that Eke had pledged to build on her predecessor’s achievements and sought the support and cooperation of the Gombe State Government and residents.
The new coordinator also appealed for the cooperation of security agencies, partner institutions, stakeholders, corps members, corps employers and the general public to enable her carry out her responsibilities effectively.
The statement further appreciated media organisations for their continued support and coverage of NYSC activities in the state.
