Oyakhilome: Gospel Singers More Interested In Fame Than Serving God

The founder of Love World, popularly known as Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has disclosed that several gospel singers left his church because they were more focused on earthly gain and fame.
During a recent church programme, Oyakhilome claimed that gospel singers were more interested in earthly gain and fame than serving God with their talents.
The cleric expressed concern that worship in the church had taken a worldly turn, with the music rendered by these artistes losing its essence as a form of true devotion.

He noted that while these singers actively led praise and worship, they often skipped prayer sessions, which he saw as a sign that they were not genuinely committed to serving God.
Oyakhilome said that he initially celebrated the musicians, but he tried to correct them when he realised their direction.
The cleric stated that the singers refused to change and instead chose to leave the church.
He added that many of the musicians had begun charging fees for their performances, prioritising personal success over spiritual duty.
