Police Council Ratifies Tunji Disu’s Appointment as IGP
The National Police Council, the highest oversight body for the Nigeria Police Force, has ratified the appointment of Olatunji Disu as the substantive InspectorGeneral of Police
The council, presided over by President Bola Tinubu at its third meeting under his administration on Monday, reviewed Disu’s record and approved his appointment unanimously, following the earlier resignation of Kayode Egbetokun.
Presidential adviser, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed Disu will be sworn in on Wednesday, ahead of the Federal Executive Council meeting.
Governors from Kwara, Ogun, and Plateau states, among others attended the meeting at the council chambers of the State House. They were joined by ministers, Vice President Kashim Shettima and the National Security Adviser.
