Presidency: Tinubu Is Hale & Hearty, Returns Tomorrow
President Bola Tinubu will be returning to Nigeria tomorrow, the presidency has clarified, while responding to the barrage of questions around his absence.
Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga said the president was in good health and on a working vacation, citing his weekend meeting with investors in France.
Presidential candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubukar, while querying the extended holidays of the president, said Nigerians had a right to know his whereabouts. The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Peter Obi, also expressed concern over the president’s continued absence from Nigeria and the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Meanwhile, Atiku Abubakar has called on President Tinubu to raise the national minimum wage immediately. He says rising costs of fuel, food, transportation and housing have eroded the current N70,000 wage.
