Regina Daniels: Ned Nwoko Appeals for Compassion, Threatens Legal Action
Senator Ned Nwoko has warned bloggers and social media users against spreading false reports about the health and alleged death of his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, threatening legal action against those responsible.
Nwoko, in a post on his Instagram page, also appealed to the public to show compassion towards the actress as she continues to recover from mobility challenges.
He said Daniels had endured more than many people realised and needed love, support and an opportunity to heal rather than public criticism and scrutiny.
According to the senator, a video Daniels shared on her 25th birthday offered a glimpse into some of the health difficulties she had been experiencing.
“As someone who knows what she has been through, I can tell you that this is not a time to judge, vilify or add to her burdens. It is a time to show compassion and allow her the opportunity to heal,” he said.
Daniels raised concerns about her health on October 10, 2026, when she marked her 25th birthday with a video showing her in a wheelchair.
The actress disclosed that she had experienced difficulty moving around freely for several months after what began as a minor condition worsened. She also described periods of severe pain that sometimes left her unable to walk.
Although she expressed hope about her recovery, she did not disclose her diagnosis or the treatment she was receiving.
Nwoko also condemned fabricated death announcements and misleading reports about Daniels’ health, saying such publications were distressing to the actress and could further affect her recovery.
He warned that those deliberately circulating false information about her would face legal consequences.
“Let me make this very clear: I will not tolerate the deliberate spread of false information about Regina, particularly fabricated reports about her death, health or personal circumstances,” he wrote.
The senator added that the publications were being documented and that those found responsible would be held accountable through appropriate legal channels.
